N-[3-(dimethylamino)propyl]dodecanamide N-oxide CAS#61792-31-2

N-[3-(dimethylamino)propyl]dodecanamide N-oxide, commonly known as lauramidopropylamine oxide, is a common nonionic surfactant, also known as LAO. It is commonly used as an efficient foaming agent and stabilizer in personal care products such as shampoo and shower gel. This compound is favored for its mildness and good compatibility, and the recommended dosage in cosmetics is 3% to 8%. In oral products, it is also suitable for toothpaste, chewing gum and mouthwash. In addition, in the textile industry, lauramidopropylamine oxide can be used for waterproof finishing and softening.
